Open Dream Ensemble (ODE), a project of the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts, a privately funded program of the North Carolina School of the Arts, completed a residency last fall at the Arts Based Elementary School in Winston-Salem where kindergartner Tristan Bramblett attended. Tristan impressed the ODE team with his artistic rendition of the dragon from ODE’s production of The Amazing Adventure of Anna Marie which lead to the partnership enabling the young artist to create the ODE t-shirt design for the 2006-2007 season. ODE will tour the state of North Carolina beginning in August wearing the t-shirts designed by the little boy with autism. As ODE completes residencies this season across the state, through each production and the visibility of the t-shirts, ODE and the Tristan R. Bramblett Autism Foundation partnership will raise awareness of autism.
